Priorities for Ward 1.

My priorities are grounded in the everyday needs of Bronte, Lakeshore Woods, Palermo and every neighbourhood in between.

Pillar One

Livability

Growth must work for residents.

Reduce construction disruption

Work to keep building activity better coordinated, so daily life in Ward 1 stays liveable while projects are underway.

Support for diverse housing options

Support a range of housing choices so residents at different stages of life can find a place in the community.

Protect and enhance public spaces

Care for the parks, trails and waterfront that residents enjoy every day, and look for ways to make them even better.

Preserve and promote our heritage

Honour the history and character that make Bronte the community residents are proud to call home.

Pillar Two

Connection

Strong communities are built when people, places and ideas are connected.

Bronte Resident Advisory Group

Create a forum where residents can share local knowledge and have a real voice in the decisions that affect Ward 1.

Improved communication between residents and Town Hall

Make it easier for residents to be heard, and to know what is happening at Town Hall and why.

Champion a Library & Community Hub for Ward 1

Advocate for a shared space where neighbours of all ages can learn, gather and connect close to home.

Pillar Three

Active Living

More ways to move, create and participate.

Expand and connect trail and path network

Link the trails and paths residents already love, making it easier to walk, run and ride across Ward 1.

Bronte Village Skating Loop

Champion a skating loop that brings winter life and activity to the heart of Bronte Village.

Strengthen access to arts, culture and community programming

Support the programs and events that bring residents together throughout the year.

Improving traffic safety

Support safer streets and neighbourhood crossings so people of every age and ability can move through Ward 1 with greater confidence.

This is just the beginning.

These priorities reflect what I truly believe will make everyday life better in Ward 1. They are a starting point, not a complete list.

There is much more to hear, learn and accomplish. I want to know what is working in your neighbourhood, what is not, and what you believe deserves greater attention.

There is a lot of work ahead, and I am ready for the challenge.
